Mad River Books

Branding

Mad River Books is a new imprint of the Ohio State University Press, with a focus on publishing diverse, exciting fiction. Inspired by organic shapes, hand-drawn forms, and a vibrant color palette, I created a logo that could evoke the key differentiators of the imprint, while remaining true to the traditions of trade and scholarly publishing.

This logo will be applied to book covers, marketing materials, web placements, and more. The striking quality of the typography and drawn elements creates a look that is flexible and timeless, while remaining contemporary and innovative.
